Stage Hypnosis Show – Terms and Conditions (New Zealand)
1. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to the booking and performance of a stage hypnosis show and or Magic Show by [The Sageman] (Stefan Sageman). By engaging the Performer, attending, or participating in the Show, you agree to these terms.
2. Participation
All participants must be aged 18 years or older unless otherwise approved in writing by the Performer and a parent or guardian.
Participation is strictly voluntary. Volunteers must provide informed consent and may withdraw at any time.
Individuals with a history of epilepsy, psychiatric /medical conditions, heart problems, or who are pregnant should not participate.
3. Purpose
The Show is intended for entertainment only. It is not a demonstration of therapy, counselling, or treatment.
4. Health and Safety
The Performer takes reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
Volunteers must follow all instructions during the Show for their own safety and the safety of others.
The Show may include suggestions for relaxation, imagination, and comedic routines that are suitable for general audiences unless R18 show.
5. Liability
The Performer is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by participants or attendees, except where required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Volunteers participate at their own risk and waive any claims, except in cases of negligence or misconduct.
6. Filming and Media
The Show may be recorded for promotional or commercial use.
By attending or participating, you grant permission for your image and likeness to be used, unless you notify the Performer in writing prior to the event.
7. Venue Requirements (For Organisers)
The organiser must ensure the venue is safe, accessible, and complies with local council and fire regulations.
Adequate lighting, sound equipment, and audience seating must be provided.
The organiser is responsible for security and the behaviour of guests.
8. Bookings, Cancellations, and Fees
A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm the booking.
Cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled Show may result in full fees being payable.
The Performer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergency. With any deposits refundable or transferable.
9. Code of Conduct
Volunteers must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Disruptive or abusive behaviour may result in removal from the venue and cancellation of the Show.
Respect for the Performer, participants, and audience is expected at all times.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
